Take a look at how anchovy is caught

The last fishing weird of the Netherlands, in the Eastern Scheldt, are still in use. It uses weirs, a setup of wooden sticks and nets, to fish for anchovy in a century-old tradition. During the months of May and June, you can join the Institute for the Conservation of Weir Fishing to sail to the fishing weirs. Come aboard and sail towards one of three weirs, while a guide tells you everything about the operations of weir fishing. Afterwards, you transfer to a dinghy to see the fishing up close. A trip to the fishing weir lasts for about three hours. Tip: call in to be guaranteed a spot.
