Fancy a day of action on and in the water? Then Brouwersdam is the place to be! Here you can find windsurfing, sailing and many more water sports activities. No experience? No problem; you can also take lessons.

Did you know that the Grevelingenmeer is the largest saltwater lake in Western Europe? There are many ways to enjoy the lake and the surrounding area. Take a short walk along the dike between Den Osse and Brouwershaven. Climb the Ouddorp aan Zee lighthouse and look out over Lake Grevelingen and the North Sea. Spot grazing horses on the sandbar Dwars in the Weg. The Grevelingenmeer is perfect for relaxing or water sports.

Pay a visit to a sick seal! Learn how seals are rescued and cared for at the A Seal shelter for seals. rnrnYou can also learn all about the habitat of seals and enjoy regularly organised exhibitions. Come visit the seals and help lift their spirits. After all, everyone deserves a little extra attention when they’re sick. Take a journey through the island history!
The museum consists of an old village shop, a fire department station and a period room. The collection includes earthenware, farming and fishing gear, funerary hatchments, paintings and so on. The museum is located in seven gabled houses from the seventeenth century, which are interlinked on the inside.

What to do in case of fire? In Amsterdam they had come up with a solution in 1413 already: 'Shout out loud the words Fire, Fire, Fire!' The city had over 12,000 buckets at its disposal.
