When travelling to another country, travel documents are mandatory. The same is true for dogs and cats. So, please make sure you bring your pet's European pet passport. National Park De Groote Peel is best known for its many bird species. You will find many waterbirds, breeding sites and migratory birds here. The nature reserve is a 'wetland': a marshy area that is very important for the surrounding nature. You can enjoy hiking, cycling and photography here.
Be enchanted
A visit to the largely indoor amusement park is a surprising experience every day. One can go on the roller coaster, the Harakiri water ride or the lightning-fast Aqua Snake. There are wonderful carousels and a super-sized carousel, as well as play castles, sandboxes, a challenging maze and, of course, a wonderfully large Magic Garden.

Eindhoven is the design capital of the Netherlands for a reason. The city is bursting with museums, design studios and art centres. Admire visual and contemporary art at the Van Abbemuseum or visit the Philips Museum located in the very first Philips light bulb factory. Prefer shopping? Eindhoven has a fine mix of well-known brands and local boutiques. End the day with a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants.
Back through time in Castle Geldrop
The moment you enter castle Geldrop, you go back centuries in time. The story begins in the 14th century when Phillip van Geldrop was lord and master of the castle. Around the castle you can go hiking in a beautiful park in English landscape style. There is also an exhibition area and a petting zoo. Between July 1 and August 30 you get free entrance to the ground floor and the exhibition space.
Good to know
As a guest of Roompot Park De Peel, you can make free use of the entertainment programme at Bospark 't Wolfsven throughout the year. You also have free use of the natural pool, which is open from 1 May to 1 October. The indoor pool is open for a fee. Bospark 't Wolfsven is 16 km away, by car it takes half an hour.
