The experience was great and there were plenty of activities, friendly personnel which were helpful. Only for the checking in the cards for entering the vacation home were not working and the stair gates were not present as well for the bed linen. Both were resolved pretty fast and because of the personnel that were kind and resolving the issues fast made our staying into a pleasant stay. If you are fan of different kinds of beers, you are a the right place. The mini market within the park offer over 500 kinds of beer.

American Thanksgiving in the Netherlands
My brother moved to Alblasserdam about 5 years ago. We have a big family and we missed sharing the holiday. My sister and my other brother brought our families to stay in the park for a 10 day visit. My nephew in-law recommended the park and had stayed with friends in the past. We added the sheets and towel service as well as the final clean to our stay. We thought the staff were very friendly and the park itself was well maintained. The parks distance from the local highways and mature landscape made it quiet and peaceful. The park was busier near the weekends but we didnt have any complaints about noise or traffic. We made frequent use of the parks grocery store and we used the laundry but we were often out visiting the local towns from Ghent to Amsterdam. The parks central location made a trip in any direction possible. We hosted an American Thanksgiving in the main room and found the space to be perfect for our familys holiday.

Katjeskelder 8 person accommodation
Very nice setup. Lots of space. Enjoyed our stay. Kids enjoyed the play park and swimming pool. Will go again.

Nice houses, friendly and helpful staff, good location. Swimming pool and parks were good. Liked the little touches like mini parks around each cluster of houses. Outside of the style of house we were staying in could benefit from some cleaning to the cladding, inside we really liked the updated look.

Return visit from the UK
We come every year from England as our main family holiday. This year we bought another large family with us in a seperate house. We had a great time, this year was better as there was entertainment until late in the evening which we didn’t have last year. We will be coming back for our fifth visit next year.

We purposely decided to pay extra to be bear the playground with the expectation that our children could olay in the playground neaby while we watch from the house. The playground was near enough to hear all thr comotion but not accessible from the house. This was very dissapointing and had a bad influence on our stay

My stay was brilliant. We felt at home all the time. It felt so safe being here. Wouldve preferred to have bed linen and towels rather than bring our own. The flights we use have limited language and it was a bit difficult to pack the items..

Ive been in the Katjeskelder numerous times. This time I came with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. The place is very safe for small children and there is stuff to do. We were on a family visit in Dongen. So all that was all perfect. I thought that you had to pay extra for towels and there were no washhandjes was a bit much. There was no soap beside the handwash basins. Also we were supposed to put the bed sheets in blue plastic bags, but there were no plastic bags. We had food from the snack bar and that was lovely. The shop on site was well stocked.

Ok park but very dirty bungalow
Very dirty bungalow. Wasn’t cleaned at all. And when highlighting at the reception on arrival,, they just said ‘we’ll note it’, without offering cleaning not come by. How nonchalant can you be

Een groene plek met veel speeltuintjes
We liked the surroudings a lot. A lot of trees a lot of playareas. We indoorswimming pool is a bit to small for all the houses. Good there was a warm outdoor pool aswell.

Not enough stuff translated in English or no English menus, also signs in Dutch last day asking us to do stuff I didnt understand, luckily my mum is dutch and translated for us as we didnt know what was going on or where we had to drop things off or what cam or cant be recycled as it was in Dutch too

Voor verbetering vatbaar.
Het huisje was gewoon niet schoon. We vonden een haarstukje/extensions achterzijde bank. (Dan is wel meteen duidelijk waar de bank voor is gebruikt!) Het servies / de pannen / bestek waren echt vies! Aangekoekte etensresten waren geen uitzondering, eerder de regel. De aantallen van bestek e.d. klopten niet. Er waren slechts 6 vorken, bijvoorbeeld. De WC beneden is voor onze komst gebruikt als rookruimte en stonk intens naar rook. Het was iig in de hal al zeer goed te ruiken.

Tegenvaller
We kwamen aan bij het huis, dacht wow wat een top huis! Groot genoeg voor ons allemaal! Prachtige ligging. Toen we binnen kwamen viel ons meteen op dat het niet schoon was, de zon scheen en je kon al niet door de ramen naar buiten kijken zoveel vingers en afdrukken stonden erop. Er was een kindje bij die kruipt hij was nog geen kwartier binnen en zijn broek was echt pik zwart. Zo vies was de vloer. We hebben eerst zelf lopen Stofzuigen, en dweilen een dweil was niet aanwezig dus die hebben we zelf gekocht.met de zon zag je een spoor waar ze wel en niet geweest waren nou het was het looppad maar verder nergens. Onder de bank lagen bierdopjes zo had de kleine dat allemaal gelijk te pakken. Bij de wcs lag een laag stof op de randen en op het plafon zaten spinnen en de spinneraggen liepen overal door heel het huis. De vaatwasser welk programma je ook aanzet de vaat bleef vies. De pannen zaten nog etensresten in van vorige mensen zo ook nog afdrukken op de glazen. Al met al gewoon echt vies huis! Ben heel benieuwd of jullie dit vaker horen en hoe jullie dit oplossen want dit is echt letterlijk weggegooid geld.

Familiehuis groot en comfortabel genoeg. Weinig kastruimte voor kleding, geen plankje voor shampoo e.d. in badkamer, weinig ophanghaken in badkamer. Te weinig stopcontacten in slaapkamers. Geen (nep) bloemen of planten (in andere huisje wel). 1 babymatras zat onder de vlekken. Geen bierglazen aanwezig.

De Katjeskelder is top!
We waren voor de tweede keer bij de Katjeskelder en het was weer een prima verblijf! Dit vonden we top: De huisjes zijn ruim en voorzien van alle gemak. Er is veel speelruimte rondom de huisjes en verspreid op het park en je kan er goed buiten zitten. Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk! Kleine verbeterpunten: Het diner aanbod in het restaurant is best beperkt, waardoor je bijna genoodzaakt wordt om buiten het park te gaan eten als je langere tijd verblijft. Het geluid bij de kinderbingo mag in het vervolg ietsje zachter (nu was het niveautje gehoorschade ;) )

Service is prima, maar het huisje was erg gedateerd. Oude badkamers (met douchegordijnen uit de jaren 70) en keuken. Het zwembad is klein. gourmetset gehuurd maar het stroom viel de hele tijd uit zodra ze warm waren. Gourmet set geruild, verschillende stopcontacten geprobeerd, maar hetzelfde resultaat. Dat drukte behoorlijk op de avond

Gezellig huisje, maar kan netter
Wij waren tevreden over de indeling van de accomodatie, de ligging ed, het aanbod in de winkel, maar ons huisje was niet echt proper: spinnenwebnetten aan het plafond, dierenharen en stofnetten op en onder de trap, nootjes/chips onder de voet van de tafel, ramen zijn (ook bij ons thuis) aangeslagen door regen, maar in het huisje zijn ze maaaaaanden niet gewassen. We betalen om te laten poetsen, maar verwachtten ook wel een netter huisje. Ik heb dit bij vertrek ook aangegeven aan de receptie.

Top plek ook voor grote groep
Wij waren met familie in een groot 14 persoons huis. Alles was goed in het huisje afgestemd op een grote groep. 2 afwasmachines en 2 ovens. Fijne accom. Min puntje was dat er 5 badkamers waren ( best veel). En 3 wc’s waar er 1 in een badkamer beneden zat in een slaapkamer. Dus eigenlijk maar 2 wc’s voor de rest van de groep
