American Thanksgiving in the Netherlands
My brother moved to Alblasserdam about 5 years ago. We have a big family and we missed sharing the holiday. My sister and my other brother brought our families to stay in the park for a 10 day visit. My nephew in-law recommended the park and had stayed with friends in the past. We added the sheets and towel service as well as the final clean to our stay. We thought the staff were very friendly and the park itself was well maintained. The parks distance from the local highways and mature landscape made it quiet and peaceful. The park was busier near the weekends but we didnt have any complaints about noise or traffic. We made frequent use of the parks grocery store and we used the laundry but we were often out visiting the local towns from Ghent to Amsterdam. The parks central location made a trip in any direction possible. We hosted an American Thanksgiving in the main room and found the space to be perfect for our familys holiday.

Katjeskelder 8 person accommodation
Very nice setup. Lots of space. Enjoyed our stay. Kids enjoyed the play park and swimming pool. Will go again.

Nice houses, friendly and helpful staff, good location. Swimming pool and parks were good. Liked the little touches like mini parks around each cluster of houses. Outside of the style of house we were staying in could benefit from some cleaning to the cladding, inside we really liked the updated look.

Return visit from the UK
We come every year from England as our main family holiday. This year we bought another large family with us in a seperate house. We had a great time, this year was better as there was entertainment until late in the evening which we didn’t have last year. We will be coming back for our fifth visit next year.

We purposely decided to pay extra to be bear the playground with the expectation that our children could olay in the playground neaby while we watch from the house. The playground was near enough to hear all thr comotion but not accessible from the house. This was very dissapointing and had a bad influence on our stay

My stay was brilliant. We felt at home all the time. It felt so safe being here. Wouldve preferred to have bed linen and towels rather than bring our own. The flights we use have limited language and it was a bit difficult to pack the items..
Lovely location though 👌

Ive been in the Katjeskelder numerous times. This time I came with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. The place is very safe for small children and there is stuff to do. We were on a family visit in Dongen. So all that was all perfect. I thought that you had to pay extra for towels and there were no washhandjes was a bit much. There was no soap beside the handwash basins. Also we were supposed to put the bed sheets in blue plastic bags, but there were no plastic bags. We had food from the snack bar and that was lovely. The shop on site was well stocked.

Ok park but very dirty bungalow
Very dirty bungalow. Wasn’t cleaned at all. And when highlighting at the reception on arrival,, they just said ‘we’ll note it’, without offering cleaning not come by. How nonchalant can you be

Een groene plek met veel speeltuintjes
We liked the surroudings a lot. A lot of trees a lot of playareas. We indoorswimming pool is a bit to small for all the houses. Good there was a warm outdoor pool aswell.

Not enough stuff translated in English or no English menus, also signs in Dutch last day asking us to do stuff I didnt understand, luckily my mum is dutch and translated for us as we didnt know what was going on or where we had to drop things off or what cam or cant be recycled as it was in Dutch too

Bij Katjeskelder is niets beneden nivo, het is TOP
Mooi huis, schoon,gezellig, ruimte. Met name het restaurant is mooi, gezellig en met name de bedrijfsleider scoort heel hoog, waarbij zijn natuurlijke en warme en gezellige houding ten opzichte van de klant, super is.

Weekje Katjeskelder
Heel wat keren in de afgelopen jaren geweest. Bevalt prima. Dicht bij de winkels. Ligt heel centraal voor heel veel doeleinden. Komen zeker weer terug.

Stilte, rust en veel natuur
Katjeskelder: mooie omgeving, dichtbij Oosterhout, auto bij bungalow. Minpunten: Aankomsttijd 16.00 uur erg laat; middag is dan al weg. Schoonmaak was nog bezig. Afvoer douchebak was verstopt (gemeld), douchebak echt gevaarlijk glad voor ouderen. Slechte verlichting, vooral boven aanrecht. Stofzuigerslang was kapot (gemeld).

Auto vrij
Je mag niet rijden met je auto tussen 11 en 7 uur. Toch paar keer wakker geworden rond 6 uur omdat men met een busje op het park rond rijdt. Ook mensen na 23 uur nog het park zien oprijden

Slechte ervaring huisje 214
Huisje was smerig, vaat vies in de kast en lade gelegd .etensresten nog aan t bestek. 1 nacht erge overlast door harde muziek en schreeuwende mensen tot diep in de nacht. Savonds erg koud in het huisje. Thermostaat is zo ingesteld dat er maar een paar radiatoren warm worden en het tocht erg. Zwarte sokken van de vieze vloer ( geen dweil aanwezig). We kwamen na 17 uur aan dus konden de mankementen pas de volgende dag melden. Aangezien ik mn kind niet op een vieze vloer laat spelen zelf maar schoon gemaakt dus dat was niet meer nodig. Wel een elektrische kacheltje gekregen om te verwarmen maarja had weinig zin want zodra je dat ding aanzet slaat de thermostaat bij een bepaalde temp af en verwarmd het helemaal niet meer en met zon klein kacheltje red je t niet om het hele huis te verwarmen. Vloer verwarming werkt niet op 2 of 3 plekjes (max 2 voeten breed) na badcelvloer vieze vlekken
