Thus, you will see and experience so much more! Be sure to visit Fun Beach, it's just 4 kilometres away. You'll find a huge water park and a play beach for the little ones there. Foreign countries are also close by from your holiday address. Hoge Kempen National Park is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Belgium, and an absolute must to visit. And you can also reach the border with Germany in just 30 minutes. In around 35 minutes, you'll be in the hilly landscape of South Limburg. A day in Maastricht? Just across the border in Belgium you can enjoy a day of skiing or snowboarding at Snow Valley Peer. With three ski slopes there is something for every skier and snowboarder. There is a large piste, a practice piste and a freestyle piste.
History and life themes in a beautiful national monument
Right in the centre of Weert is Museum W. The museum is housed in a beautiful historic building. This national monument, a former town hall, has been fully restored. Most striking is the gold-coloured facade, designed by Limburg designer Maurice Mentjens. Inside, you will discover a varied collection of cultural-historical objects and art. In Museum W, you follow a route along life themes that every human being, no matter who you are or where you come from, has to deal with. Like the body you have and what you can do with it, the family you are born into and the region you grow up in. But also the work you do, the relaxation you seek and the festivals you celebrate. Objects such as prehistoric urns, paintings, sculptures and beautiful silverware tell the story.
An energetic day to remember!
Climbing forest Weert is an ECO climbing forest with 4 climbing courses, each with different obstacles between the trees. The courses succeed each other in difficulty and height. Should you take a full tour, you will be working out for about 2.5 hours. The first course sets you at about 3 meters high, while the last puts you at 9.5 meters. In other words, an energetic day for young and old that you are guaranteed to remember. You are more than welcome at Climbing forest Weert!
Good to know
A part of the park and the swimming pool are still under construction. The construction work may possibly cause some inconvenience during the day. The swimming pool will open in December 2022. The restaurant, reception and the park shop are already open during your stay. You can only pay with a debit or credit card at reception. You can also pay in cash in the restaurant and shop.
There is entertainment for children during Dutch school holidays.
