A day trip to Groningen
Look inside the Seal Hospital
Have a look in the largest specialised seal hospital in Europe. Every day, sick, injured or weakened seals are cared for in the Pieterburen Seal Centre. In the visitor's centre, you are in the middle of the seal hospital where you can watch how they care for the seals. When the seals have regained their strength, they are released back into nature. After the visit to the seals, you can head over to the Wadden Garden. This is a wild and colourful field btimming with plants and flowers from the region. There is a Wadden play area for the kids. This is a playground where ebb and flow are simulated. Climb with ropes to the other side, and catch small animals in the water using a fishnet. In the meantime, parents can relax on the deck overlooking the Wadden playground.Pieterburen Seal Centre
