Drive to National Park De Alde Feanen in 25 minutes. Explore the park on foot or by bicycle. Or hire a canoe and have an adventure through the reed beds and the swamp forests. Do you want to get away from nature for a bit? For instance, you can go shopping and enjoy good food & drinks in Drachten or Leeuwarden. Or you keep it simple. You will also find lovely eateries and pubs in the villages around the park. With hospitable people who make you feel really welcome. Go back to your water bungalow in the evening. And enjoy the view across the water. It was another lovely day...
