Apart from water sports, the environment has a lot of other things to offer: around the park there is a substantial cycle network, the unique National Park “de Alde Feanen” is close by and in Leeuwarden and Heerenveen you can go shopping. A day out with the kids in the AquaZoo Leeuwarden zoo is definitely recommended. Relaxation or adventure, nature of culture … Friesland has it all!

In Nature museum Fryslân, you will find four floors filled with information, special animals and plants, assignments, games and other surprises waiting to be discovered.
