The mysterious dolmens, enormous stacked stones, which you find spread across the Drenthe countryside, combined with the still unspoilt nature, form the tourist attraction which Drenthe represents for many years. In the enjoyable village of Borger, in the midst of nature and surrounded by dolmens, lies holiday resort Hunzedal, a versatile holiday resort with many activities. Swimming, archery, bowling or sunbathing at the recreational lake? During breakfast in your comfortable bungalow, cosy chalet or mobile home, you’ll make plenty of plans for young and old alike. Are we going biking in the area or do we take a dive in the swimming pool? Will it be dolmen or water fun today?

Facilities
At this park, it is possible to book accommodation where pets are welcome. Some of these accommodations allow you to bring 2 pets, but sometimes only 1 pet is allowed. There are pet-free accommodations too. There is something for everyone!

Price
For dogs and cats, you pay a surcharge per night. The final cleaning is mandatory if you bring a pet. This mandatory final cleaning is sometimes included in the price of your stay.
Bringing an assistance dog
Good to know: different rules apply for assistance dogs. If all the holiday homes where dogs are allowed, are fully booked, your assistance dog is also welcome in a pet-free holiday home. You do not have to pay the usual pet surcharge. To register an assistance dog, please contact our Guest Service.
Bringing your pet to the Netherlands
When travelling to another country, travel documents are mandatory. The same is true for dogs and cats. So, please make sure you bring your pet's European pet passport. In addition, a chip and valid rabies vaccination are mandatory. You can read the rules on The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority's (NVWA) page.

A visit to the pool is a must during your holiday! Start the day by swimming laps in the 25-metre competition pool or get swept away by the rapids in the water park. More action? Then the slide is just the thing for you. The little ones have not been forgotten either. The 2 paddling pools are at the edge of the water park, near the shallow end. Forgot your swimming aids? You can borrow them for free. You can relax in the hot tub or sauna. The sauna is open to everyone over the age of 18.
Outdoor pool
During good weather, you can swim through to the outdoor pool from the indoor pool. The outdoor pool is open from 1 April to 30 October.
Access and opening hours
You are welcome to come for a swim free of charge during your holiday. The swimming pool is open every day. The exact opening hours are available on the website and in the app. Various swimming lessons and activities are also organised in the swimming pool. Would you like to join in? The staff at the Service point will be happy to provide you with more information.
Practical: lockers are available at the changing rooms. Don't forget to bring a €0.50 coin as a deposit.
Accessibility
The pool has modified, extra spacious changing rooms. You can also borrow a pool wheelchair.

A look at the lives of our ancestors
Did you know that Drenthe has been voted the proto-province of the Netherlands? Drenthe is home to dozens of prehistoric sites to discover. One of these sites is the Hunebed Centre, where you will travel 5,000 years back in time. On this journey, you will enter the mysterious world of our ancestors. Here every conceivable question about the ancient monolithic tombs known as hunebedden will be answered. A visit to Drenthe is only truly complete once you have seen the hunebeds and visited the Hunebed Centre.
